Jaclyn Mansfield then finished a strong 6th in the 15 yr old Girls final before Zach Somjen held on for the win and Gold in the 16-18 boys final, 1:05.34.
15 yr old Travis Kam represented the other strokes well by earning a tough 400 IM Bronze in 4:39.96 and a 200 Backstroke Silver, 2:08.57.
The final day comes tomorrow...!
Day 3 Prelims Dolphin breaststrokers are in 3 podium positions after this morning prelims. 12 yr old Eva Nagy sits 1st after her best time (1:13.19) which is just over a second away from the BC Provincial Record. That time is also a new CDSC and UBCD 12&u record, standards that she has broken a number of times already this season. 13 yr old Colton Kasteel achieved his 14 yr old Age Group National time to sit 2nd (1:15.30). 18 yr old Zach Somjen is also 1st with his strong prelim swim (1:06.07).
Travis Kam sits 2nd in the 200 Back and 3rd in the 400 IM in the 15 yr old boys age group. Jaclyn Mansfield also had 2 strong morning swims making the 15 yr old girls 100 Breaststroke final sitting 7th and just missing the 200 Back final in 10th position.
Finals go tonight at 5:30pm...
