15 yr old Travis Kam climed to the 2nd step on the podium tonight with 3 other UBCD teammates. Kam's SILVER came in the 4x100 Medley relay where he led off the team swimming the Backstroke leg. This team effort result takes the sting off of missing the 200 IM final, a strong event for Kam, earlier in the day. This was Kam's 2nd Silver relay medal this week to go along with his 200 Backstroke BRONZE earlier in the week.
14 yr old Colton Kasteel also swam a strong relay leg, Breaststroke, on UBCD's "B" team to help them finish 7th in the same event as Kam, and earn the Dolphins valuable points. Earlier in the day Kasteel earned another best time in the 200 IM to complete a sweep of winning his heat in every prelim race! He also acheived his 1st "non-Breaststroke" AAA standard.
13 yr old Vivian Wu finished with another IM best time in the 200 event in the prelims, showing potential for improvement in future years at the National level.
These 3, along with Jaclyn Mansfield, helped the UBC Dolphins finish 4th overall IN THE COUNTRY in the team scoring race, an improved result for the the Dolphins.
Congrats to you all!
